Your first visit typically takes about 60–90 minutes. Here's what will happen, step by step:
When you arrive, our front desk team will greet you by name, help you with any remaining paperwork, and answer any last-minute questions. We run on time, so you won't be sitting in a waiting room wondering when you'll be seen.
We'll take digital X-rays and, if needed, a 3D CBCT scan to see exactly what's going on. These modern imaging tools are quick, comfortable, and give Dr. Futch a far more detailed view than traditional X-rays alone.
Dr. Futch will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and oral tissues. This isn't a quick glance — it's a complete assessment of your oral health. He'll explain what he's seeing as he goes, so you're never left guessing.
After the exam, Dr. Futch will sit down with you and walk through his findings. He'll explain any concerns, discuss your options, and answer every question you have — no rushing, no jargon, no pressure. If treatment is recommended, you'll understand exactly what it involves and why.
If your exam includes a cleaning, your hygienist will take care of that during the same visit. Otherwise, we'll schedule your next steps and make sure you leave with a clear understanding of your treatment plan, timeline, and costs.
